Wondering if there is a similar thing for WoWs? I.e. This helped to perfect the angles, particularly when side-scraping etc. In WoT I used a few apps or websites to show the effective armour at different angles. But from all I've explain, it is better to experience it yourself in the battle and see how things really work. But most Cruiser's deck armor can be penetrated. This is because Midway's flight deck armor has a thickness of 87mm. A shell from Yamato cannot penetrate Midway's flight deck armor even from the farthest range. Now, I never play Moskva and I don't know if her back guns are quite reliable when angling against BB. Des Moines however, can actually bounce shells up to a caliber of 380mm or under it. And so if you can angle sufficiently against BB your Moskva can actually bounce their shells. But shells from 380mm up to 460mm can overmatch your upper bow armor. This means that if yamato aim at your lower bow armor, it won't overmatch. Moskva has an upper bow armor of 25mm and lower bow armor of 50mm. Other than those ships have a standard AP shells that will ricochet if you're angled in 45 degree or lower. You can see every ship that has such AP shells in the armor penetration website above. Some other ships like Hood, Duke of York, Alaska, etc has an improved AP shells like British cruisers does. For all British cruisers, their AP shells will ricochet if you are angled in 30 degree or under it.
but what I would love is to know is the angle at which an armour piece would be penned (assuming it isn't overmatched).Į.g, in a moskva, is it safe to angle and fire the back gun at a ship with 380mm, or is that angle showing too much side and I will be penned so it's best to only fire the front 2 and stay straighter. I think I'm across most of the concepts like overmatch, saturation etc. Regarding to armor and shells penetrations you can visit these parts of the wiki: But it still an obligation to visit the website for those who doesn't know much about the game mechanic.
But unfortunately it doesn't provide armor scheme. It provide you almost all the things in the game from ships to game mechanics. Have you checked the World of Warships wiki? It's quite useful there .
